In 2026, Volga German Tours is offering two tours.
Argentina
Jan. 28 – Feb. 11, 2026: Tour to the Volga German colonies in the Argentine Provinces of Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires along with time in Buenos Aires City, Mendoza’s wine country, and the mountainous lakes in the Andes near Bariloche (in Patagonia).
There will be “family reunions” held in the two primary Volga German settlement areas in Entre Ríos and Buenos Aires Provinces. Local Volga German descendants will be invited to meet with our tour participants during these “family reunion” times.
2026 Draft Tour Itinerary to Argentina
Germany
May 23 – June 6, 2026: Tour to the ancestral villages of the Volga Germans in Germany along with time in Munich, Heidelberg, Rothenburg (ob der Tauber), Büdingen, and Lübeck.
The detail of each day that involves visiting the ancestral villages of those who settled in the German colonies along the Russian Volga River in the 1760s will be scheduled after all participants have been accepted. We will incorporate those villages that participants have requested on their Tour Application Form and create an itinerary.
